Another Chinese New Year is on it’s way and the city is getting RED!

SAP® World Tour 2009: See your way clear! This was the slogan SAP Malaysia used to announce its latest event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Being held in Shangri-La hotel, SAP world tour 2009 was a place where many business strategist and executives get together to learn about new business perspectives and opportunities as well as latest solutions delivered by SAP®.
The event was basically divided into three main parts:

• Key note speeches, interview and customer panel discussion
• Interactive demo
• Lunch!
• Track sessions

What I enjoyed most was the morning sessions, when V.R. Srivatsan, the Managing Director of SAP Malaysia delivered his warm welcoming message in a very professional style which to me, was the best speaker of the day! His time was perhaps the shortest, but the way he delivered his message was truly proficient. The seminar get into details, when another gentleman (unfortunately, forgot his name, but he was from the Malaysian government) had a wonderful speech about the Asia in general and how Asians will build the future. He specifically emphasized on the historical and spiritual background of Asians and shown his optimistic idea about how success and leadership will come back to the Asians in near future.

Datuk Vinod Sekhar

Soon after, Datuk Vinod Sekhar, the president and CEO of the Petra Group also expressed his very optimistic thoughts about how the future of business will return to the Asians and pointed out some interesting ideas about how businessmen must participate in the society developments.

Krish Datta

The session continued by the talk from Krish Datta, President of SAP Asia Pacific and Japan talked about how SAP is playing its role in today’s business in particular in Malaysia.

The other part that was interesting to me was the interactive demo session when a quick demo was presented and some features of the new SAP Business Suite where emphasized.
